cup spilt red lentils

cup spilt yellow lentils

green chillies, finely chopped

large cloves garlic, minced

teaspoon turmeric

onion, chopped

tomato, chopped

teaspoon mustard seeds

dried red chillies

1/2 tblspn. oil
Few
cilantro leaves, chopped
salt
to taste
METHOD
Boil
the lentils in water salt and turmeric for 15-20
minutes or until soft. Mash the lentils till creamy.
If the lentil mixture looks too dry, add some
water. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the mustard
seeds and red chillies. Add the onion, ginger,
garlic and green chillies fry for 2 minutes. Add
the tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes. Add
the lentils and mix thoroughly. Cook for a while.
Garnish with cilantro. Serve it hot.
